What LLM does InfoLens use?

By default, InfoLens uses Google Gemini (gemini-2.5-flash for generation, gemini-embedding-001 for embeddings). The architecture supports pluggable LLM providers — you can configure OpenAI, Anthropic, or local models via the TOML config.

What file formats are supported?

PDF, TXT, DOCX, HTML, CSV, JSON, PPTX, XLSX, and Markdown files are supported. Files are automatically chunked and embedded during ingestion.

Can I self-host InfoLens?

Yes! InfoLens is designed for self-hosting. Use Docker Compose to deploy the full stack (backend, frontend, PostgreSQL, clustering) on your own infrastructure. See the Deployment Guide for step-by-step instructions.

What are the system requirements?

Minimum: Docker Engine 24+, 4GB RAM, 10GB storage. Recommended: 8GB RAM, SSD storage, dedicated Gemini API key. For production, we recommend a separate PostgreSQL instance.

How does multi-tenancy work?

Each tenant has complete data isolation at the database level. Users can only access data within their own tenant. Tenant admins manage their own users, roles, and settings. Platform super-admins can manage all tenants.
